A burglar cried that seven years of looting in people to feed his appetite for money, watches and mobile phones has finally caught up with him.

Serial thief Daniel Exley, 24, was released early from a sentence of 45 months to three burglaries than go shoplifting and robbing a house in Sands Lane, Bridlington, before expiration of his sentence.

Exley has 17 previous convictions - including five burglaries. He had the contacts for selling stolen goods and was caught after leaving a fingerprint and footprint near the window of an apartment occupied by Dennis Green, 58, May 21
