January Loehne says she is not artistic.
After all, she taught business for 30 years in high school in Jefferson City, Missouri "This was the practical side of my brain," she said.
Removed in Woodland Park, however, shows the right side, the artistic side.
All it took was a dinner date with friends at least and a lesson on how to design a bracelet. With jewelry, stones and trinkets, Loehne takes something ordinary and creates art. "It's a new beginning," she said.
The watches are part of this talent. Some she orders from catalogs, others, she buys her travels, all part of the adventure of retirement. "I have had people bring me their old watches, too," she said, adding that some watches are legacies.
